My name is Deanna. I’m a proud Texan, a mother, grandmother, and widow, living out in the country where the stars shine bright and life moves at its own pace. I share my little piece of the world with my two loyal dogs, fourteen cats (yes, fourteen!), a couple of deer, donkeys, cows — and whatever else happens to wander up to my doorstep.
I’ve loved nature all my life, but about twenty years ago, I began to truly lean into its quiet magic. These days, you’ll find me in a flowing dress or a cozy sweater, tending to my garden, curled up with a good book, or enjoying a glass of wine under the moonlight. Herbs, gardening, and all things natural have become not just hobbies, but a way of life I cherish every day.
I believe there’s a bit of magic in everyone — whether we choose to embrace it or not is up to us, and either way is perfectly okay. Dancing Moon Cottage is my way of sharing that simple truth and inviting you to find a bit of your own magic, too.

Nestled in the quiet heart of Fife, Texas, this over 100-year-old cottage is a space of rest, reflection, and rootedness. With three comfortable beds across two semi-private rooms and one shared bath, it offers cozy accommodations infused with intention and care.
As you step inside, you’re greeted by warmth and welcome. Every detail in the space was chosen to create ease, magic, and a deep sense of belonging. Natural light spills into the living area — a soft and soulful space for quiet reflection, meaningful conversation, or simply exhaling after the noise of everyday life.
The kitchen is simple yet nurturing, offering all the comforts you need. Each morning, a Grab & Go Breakfast awaits: fresh muffins, bagels, fruit, and light bites to nourish both body and spirit before the day begins.
Down the hall, the sleeping quarters invite restoration. Soft linens, layered textures, and peaceful energy create a grounded atmosphere, whether you're here to retreat, restore, or reconnect.
But perhaps the true magic lives outside.
This cottage offers not one but three porches — a south-facing front porch for sunrise sipping and morning journaling, a north-facing porch for cool shade and quiet, and a west-facing back porch perfect for watching the sunset melt into stars.
And beyond the walls, under a canopy of sky and trees, you’ll find a sacred grove: a circle of trees surrounding a firepit, where guests gather beneath the moon to share stories, breathe deeply, and honor the timeless rhythms of the earth.
